So here goes – a little about me:
I am the married mother of 3. I married my high school sweetheart. He is my rock and really cannot imagine taking a single step in this life without him. My kids are my world. Right now they are 14, 9, and 5. I am not about to lie and say things have always been easy, but I wouldn’t take my journey any other way.
Oh yeah, and did I mention, I work full time?
So what is this blog all about?
Let’s go way back, I was one of those wicked skinny girls who always had body issues, always thought I was too fat . Just so you have an idea – I was 36″ 27″ 33″ . Yeah, soooo fat. When I got pregnant with my oldest, most people had no idea I was pregnant. It came down to the doctor telling me I had to gain weight. Being as I was 18, I did exactly everything I was told to – including having a milk shake before bed. So there I was starting my pregnancy at 128 pounds and when my son was born I topped off at 210. Since then I have tried to lose weight.I lost about 40 pounds before my second child was born, I discovered Metabolife (before it was banned ), it worked wonders for me. Then my second pregnancy I was ALWAYS hungry. I seriously remember eating 4 – yes 4 bowls of Lucky Charms in a sitting. So, yeah, the weight stayed on. Then my last pregnancy, I became a gestational diabetic, I actually lost 10 pounds during the pregnancy. But what difference does that make when you are 250 pounds?
So here I am – still fat – still unhealthy. Though out the years, I have tried lots of diet pills, I have gone to the gym, did zumba, and here I sit – a Fatty McButterpants. How could this be? Duh – I was LAZY. I didn’t commit to anything – least of all myself.
Which brings me to present day; I am one month into a fitness program that works for me. I am busting my ass, getting results and feel amazing. I have a long way to go, but I am looking forward to the journey.
I hope you will enjoy my stories and enjoy this ride with me.
